Established in 1996, “Khatansuikh Impex” LLC has been operating in the production of HASU branded sausages, canned meat products, ready-to-eat meals, and concentrated bone broth by combining the rich meat resources of Mongolia’s nomadic livestock heritage with traditional European technology to meet consumer preferences.

Company’s Mission: Our mission is to produce natural and pure products that satisfy consumers’ needs and preferences, and to operate sustainably in both domestic and international markets through HASU branded products that showcase the valuable quality of Mongolian livestock meat. The main characteristic of the HASU brand is its technological policy focused on using natural, non-genetically modified food additives and ingredients in its recipes and production processes.

Throughout our manufacturing operations, our Company has continuously expanded its production capacity and introduced new technologies in order to stabilise production processes and manufacture products that meet customer requirements. We operate using equipment from leading European manufacturers such as BERTSCH-LASKA, SORGO, VEMAG, and MAUTING. In addition our Company is using the production equipment from the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Korea.
For our primary raw material, pasture-raised Mongolian livestock meat, we import natural sausage seasonings and ingredients produced exclusively for “Khatansuikh Impex” from Austria’s KAVO Company.
Company History Brief:
- • In 1992, “Khatansuikh” Partnership with Full Liability for All Members Company was established with two members and became one of the first private manufacturers of sausages and meat products in Mongolia using locally manufactured small-scale equipment.
- • From 1996, the Company was reorganised as “Khatansuikh Impex” LLC and continued sausage production using compact equipment manufactured by Germany’s MADO Company.
- • In 2000, the Company carried out a major expansion and modernisation of its production facilities by introducing modern sausage and canned food manufacturing equipment produced in Germany and Austria. During this period, the Company commenced canned food production, preserving meat products in cans and, for the first time in Mongolia, producing preserved products packaged in retort pouches. The Company also opened and began operating the “Sissi” Restaurant and branded retail stores.
- • In 2005, the 4,020 m2 “HASU Sausage and Canning Factory” complex was commissioned, significantly increasing the Company’s canned product production capacity. Products such as beef ribs (Kalbi) in 3-litre cans and various soups began to be exported to the Republic of Korea, while steamed lamb and beef products were exported to the Russian Federation.
- • In 2008, our Company became the first in Mongolia to commence exports of semiprocessed Halal meat products to Iran.
- • In 2009, in cooperation with EMG CHONG RO Co., Ltd. of the Republic of Korea, the Company commissioned a concentrated bone broth production facility and began supplying concentrated beef and lamb bone broth products to both the Korean and Mongolian markets.
- • In 2015, following a favourable risk assessment conducted by the Veterinary and Quarantine Authorities of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Company obtained the right to export sausages and canned meat products to Vietnam.
- • In 2016, the Company obtained approval to export heat-processed meat products to the People’s Republic of China and commenced exports accordingly.
- • In 2016, the Company implemented the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) system project and obtained certification from “TÜV Rheinland”, an international standards, certification, and auditing organisation headquartered in Germany.
- • In 2017 and 2018, TÜV Rheinland conducted surveillance and recertification audits of the food safety management system, and the HACCP system was successfully recertified.
- • Since 2018, the Company has implemented the ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System Standard, and since 2020, the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System Standard, of which continue to be annually certified and maintained.

International Food Safety Standards
We highly value quality and implement the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) system and the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System Standard. These systems are annually audited, risk assessed, and certified by an international standards, certification, and auditing organisation headquartered in Germany.
Sausage/Ham and Meat Product Manufacturing
By combining traditional European technology with HASU brand technology, we manufacture a wide variety of boiled sausages, smoked sausages, and meat products with flavours and quality tailored to the preferences of Mongolian consumers for the domestic market. In addition, we produce fully smoked horse meat sausages and smoked meat products for export purposes.

Canned Meat Product Manufacturing
Using fresh beef, horse, mutton, and goat meat raised on the rich natural pastures of Mongolia, we produce preserved meat products packaged in aluminium retort pouches and cans. Packaging sizes and flavours are customised according to customer requirements, and the products are supplied to both domestic and international markets.
These products under the “ERKHEM ZOOG” and “HASU” brands are seasoned with bone broth and produced as environmentally friendly products; therefore, they enjoy strong demand and customer orders not only in Mongolia but also in international markets. HASU branded canned meat products are distinguished as healthy and safe food products made from pure meat without the use of chemical additives such as preservatives or meat substitutes to extend shelf life.
Concentrated Bone Broth Production
In addition to carrying out its primary meat processing operations through industrial methods, the Company also processes animal bones to produce three varieties of concentrated bone broth made from beef, horse, and sheep bones. These products are rich in collagen and essential minerals beneficial to the human body naturally contained within animal bones. The concentrated bone broth products are manufactured using industrial processing methods based on traditional Korean technology, where the broth is carefully simmered and purified through high-temperature steam processing. Alongside supplying the domestic market, these products are also exported to the Republic of Korea.

Awards and Recognitions
Since its establishment, the Company has been a member of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has received numerous awards from both domestic and international exhibitions and trade fairs, including the following notable recognitions:
- In 2004, 2013, and 2014, recognised as one of Mongolia’s “TOP 100” Enterprises by the joint selection of the Government of Mongolia and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- In 2005, awarded the title of “State Quality Champion Enterprise”.
- In 2007, awarded the “People’s Food” distinction by the Mongolian Food Producers Association.
- Recipient of the Green Entrepreneur Award from the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Awarded the National Quality Award for “Concentrated Beef Bone Broth” by the joint recognition of the Government of Mongolia, the Agency for Standardisation and Metrology, and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- In 2017, awarded the “Leading Food Industry of the Capital City” distinction by the Board of Directors of the Mongolian Food Producers Association.
- In 2021, selected as Mongolia’s “Leading Food Industry” enterprise by the Mongolian Food Producers Association.
